7 plus years later – Memory Mondays – Photos from our wedding blessing

Well to make sure I at least get a post in, I’m doing a quick memory Monday. It is Memorial Day, so I do want to say thank you to those who have served, and especially remind everyone to keep a moment of silence to those who’ve lost their lives. Enjoy your time with your family and friends (or double time or time and a half if you are at work), and remember the reason for Memorial Day.

This, Memorial Day happens to also fall on our 7 year blessi-versary. You see, we were married in India first and then had a blessing in Michigan.

Memories of our blessing in Michigan

To those offended of seeing pictures of white women in saris, please move on. My bridesmaids, all of whom except one, were non-Indians, you know gori girls.

A look back at our blessing from 2007. Time flies

And some from the reception.

Yes we had a reception – dancing and fun. My husband’s sister and her husband made it from India and had fun on the dance floor too :)

The beautiful place if you’re looking for a place to vacation this summer is Michigan’s Upper Peninsula – Baraga County :)

  1. What a beautiful wedding you had. Like the others, I don’t know why anyone would have been offended by the saris. Your bridesmaids look fabulous in them!

  2. I think the dresses are gorgeous, most especially the dress of the bride. It looks like a lovely day and an anniversary is the perfect time to remember it. :) Happy blessi-versary.

  3. We also had a wedding in India and then did our legal ceremony in England. I always wish I had bridesmaids when I see photos like yours – all the girls look great and you look beautiful! Congrats on 7 years.
