As you know, we love travel. As we plan upcoming trips, I have to remember to see travel through my kid’s eyes. While living in India we met some lovely friends, some of whom were Italian! If it’s about time to consider going on a family vacation have you thought about going to Italy? Going to a new country with children often can be exciting, but at the same time, it’s a good idea to have a plan ahead of time so that everyone can enjoy their time in Italy to the fullest. As parents, it’s up to you to come up with children-friendly activities, and since they all entail either learning about the country by touring museums or having fun in other ways, you will definitely enjoy them as well. Seeing Italy through a child’s eyes will no doubt be worth it, besides the long plane ride there. Once you arrive in Italy, your vacation will be a breeze because you will have so much fun.
Immerse yourself in the culture
If you have a larger family, consider staying at a villa where you can enjoy a cooking holiday in Tuscany and take advantage of the free nature surrounding you. A villa is located away from the busier part of town making it ideal to enjoy the rolling hills and learn more about the culture through cooking and exploring.
This type of atmosphere is perfect for a family because it’s not only where you will stay for the duration of your trip, but it will also become a fun place to call home while you’re in Italy. Take your kids on nature walks, explain to them what the new wildlife is that you encounter, take cooking classes, and do arts and crafts outside of the villa too. Your children will be content spending time outside of the villa simply because there are so many adventures to enjoy there!
Take advantage of the zoos in Italy
Speaking of nature and wildlife, how about taking your kids to a zoo while you’re in Italy? Yes, you can participate in all of these activities and more in the United States or wherever you live, but it will still be fun to experience these sorts of activities in a new country as well. You’ll learn about new animals while experiencing new sites and sounds. There’s a zoo called ZOOSAFARI that’s located in Puglia, and it is a safari style zoo, which means you can get up close to the animals. Have fun getting acquainted with giraffes, monkeys, and other exotic animals. Your kids will have a great time and so will you. So next time someone says that Italy isn’t for kids – you can prove them wrong!
Have a blast at the amusement parks
Whether you like simple amusement parks or larger ones, there are many parks located in the north part of Italy. It may not be Disneyland, but it’ll be fun for children who enjoy roller coasters, water rides, and the like. If you’d prefer for your children to stay away from intense rides there’s also laser shows and a log flume ride. Pick and choose what you’d like your kids to participate in at a particular theme park and they’ll most likely be happy just walking around and enjoying the sights there too.
