Viviana Mall has done it again… brought more western options to the lonely expat. With Taco Bell taking a corner spot in the the large food court in Viviana Mall, Tex-Mex has made it to Thane!
So yes, we’ve been there (twice) since they opened at the beginning of the year. I spied it in the food court behind all the construction right after Christmas and was super excited to visit when we returned from our little visits to Matheran and Alibaug.
Taco Bell has a variety of standard “American” Mexican foods, like the classic taco and the chicken quesadilla. However, they have many more vegetarian options, including:
- Cheesy Fiesta potatoes
- kathitto, which is a kathi roll with Mexican-ized fillings
- Bean and Potato with Paneer burrito
Oh, and they’re one of the first to have a special drinks attendant where you can get a free refill on your sugar-ladened soda (on purchase of a meal box), or pay slightly for a “second fill.”
While I’m not a huge fan of fast food for kids, there’s always the exception. And, when your child doesn’t want “India food” and finding the “right” mix of ingredients for food from home, fast food is fine. Everything in moderation, right?
